Lisa Ponchak

Lisa Ponchak grew up Catholic but when she was eighteen stopped believing in God, fell away from Church and got involved in the party scene.  After a near death experience that led her on a quest for truth, Jesus revealed himself and his love to her in a powerful way through the Eucharist and a charismatic Catholic parish. Realizing this was the love she had always longed for, she gave God her life at the age of nineteen.

After a couple years at a community college, she transferred to the Franciscan University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Mental Health and Human Services. Tom and Lisa married in 1993, have six children whom they also home school and reside in Central Florida.

Through many difficulties in life, the Lord has taught Lisa how to be still and rest in him. Lisa is passionate about sharing God’s love for others, resting in God, how to hear and discern God’s voice, and His true presence in the Eucharist.

Lisa blogs at BeautifulThorns.com and has been featured on Catholic365.org, the April/May 2015 print edition of Shalom Tidings Magazine, and was interviewed on Ignite Catholic Radio (starting around the 12 min mark of the podcast).
